Clairvoyant Who Foresaw World War I Makes Startling Prediction for 2026

Edgar Cayce was one of America’s most celebrated psychics in history. Born on March 18, 1877, near Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Cayce lived a humble life before gaining fame. He died on January 3, 1945, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, at age 67. Cayce worked as a Sunday school teacher and photographer with little formal education beyond 8th grade.

Despite his limited schooling, he became known as the “Sleeping Prophet” because he entered trance-like states to deliver his readings. During these sessions, Cayce provided medical diagnoses and prophecies being in a trance-like state.. Over his lifetime, he gave more than 14,000 documented readings that were carefully recorded and preserved. His secretary, Gladys Davis Turner, transcribed every word he spoke while in trance from 1923 until his death.

Early Life and the Development of Psychic Abilities

Edgar Cayce accurately predicted the 1929 stock market crash, World War II’s outbreak in 1941, and the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls eleven years before archaeologists found them in 1947.

Cayce first discovered his gifts of clairvoyance during his childhood in Kentucky. At around the age of 10, he had his first psychic experience. He had a vision of an angelic being descending towards him while in bed at home. This encounter would change his life trajectory significantly. After the vision, Cayce began exhibiting signs of a photographic memory that shocked and amazed his family. According to records, he could apparently fall asleep on textbooks and memorize entire pages in a single night.

At the age of 15, Cayce was struck with a baseball in his spine during a game. This took place in 1892, and he entered a trance-like state. In this trance-like state, he diagnosed his own injury, advising a poultice treatment to remedy the injury. This remarkable ability to self-diagnose marked the beginning of his journey in medical clairvoyance work.

He also left school at 15, while in 8th grade, and began working for a few years on an uncle’s farm. He eventually moved back home to his family in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, taking up jobs as a shoe salesman and bookstore clerk. Cayce briefly worked in Louisville at a book and stationery business before joining his father as a traveling insurance salesman. In 1900, Cayce lost his voice for approximately a year, unable to continue his work as a travelling insurance salesman. A hypnotist named Al Layne helped him regain his voice by placing him in a trance.

Building a Legacy in Virginia Beach

Cayce’s professional life took him across several states before he settled permanently or found financial stability. Between 1919 and 1923, Cayce founded the Cayce Petroleum Company alongside several partners. Cayce had hoped to use his clairvoyance in oil prospecting to earn enough money to build a hospital. However, his attempts were unsuccessful. 2 years later, he began a national lecture tour demonstrating his psychic abilities.

In September 1923, he hired Gladys Davis as his stenographer to record his readings. She would remain by his side for the next 21 years, documenting and cataloguing every reading session with meticulous care. Cayce moved his family to Virginia Beach, Virginia, in September 1925, following guidance from his own readings. Three years later, in 1929, he opened the Cayce Hospital in partnership with his New York financier Morton Harry Blumenthal. The hospital provided holistic treatments based on his psychic recommendations to patients seeking alternative healing methods.

In May 1930, he chartered Atlantic University to promote education in spiritual and psychic research. However, by 1931 Cayce hospital would close due to The Great Depression and conflicts amongst Cayce’s financial supporters. Cayce and his remaining supporters would then reform to establish the Association for Research and Enlightenment, Incorporated. They reformed in the summer of 1931 and continued to support Cayce’s work. The organization continues to operate today from its Virginia Beach headquarters, maintaining all of Cayce’s archived readings.

Predictions That Came True

Edgar Cayce made numerous predictions during his lifetime. While some did not come to light, his predictions that later came to be true were remarkably accurate.  In 1924, he predicted the stock market crash of 1929 on 2 separate occasions before it happened. The first warning came in February 1925, and he issued another alert 6 months before the October 1929 crash.

In 1935, Cayce foresaw the outbreak of World War II with shocking detail. He described an alliance between Germany, Austria, and Japan that would set the world on fire. This alliance was later revealed through the Tripartite Pact signed on September 27, 1940. Cayce also predicted that the United States would enter the war specifically in 1941.

He foresaw the deaths of 2 U.S. presidents, Franklin D. Roosevelt and John F. Kennedy, though details remain less documented. More than 11 years before their 1947 discovery, Cayce spoke extensively about the Dead Sea Scrolls. He described the Essenes, a Jewish sect, with details that scholars later confirmed after archaeological excavations. In 1938, Cayce predicted that portions of Atlantis would resurface near Bimini in 1968 or 1969. The Bimini Road was discovered in 1968, exactly as he had foreseen.

The Prophecy About Dogs and Spiritual Healing

One of Cayce’s most intriguing predictions involves the spiritual purpose of dogs  in human lives. According to his readings, dogs are not merely pets or companions by random chance. Cayce believed dogs were spiritual beings placed deliberately in our lives with a sacred mission. He predicted that dogs would “evolve” into their true spiritual purpose when “talking machines connect humans”

This phrase appears to describe modern communication technology, like smartphones and the internet, connecting people worldwide. Cayce claimed dogs were designed specifically to heal and protect human souls during times of need. Many people today see this prophecy manifesting through service dogs and emotional support animals.

These specially trained dogs help veterans cope with post-traumatic stress disorder and assist people with disabilities. They provide emotional support for individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. Scientific research supports Cayce’s vision, showing dogs can detect chemical changes in human emotions through smell. Studies from the University of Naples in 2018 revealed dogs sense fear and stress in human sweat. Dogs demonstrate an uncanny ability to appear exactly when their owners need emotional support most.

Edgar Cayce’s Vision for 2025

Cayce’s predictions extended into the present day, including predictions for 2025 and 2026. He warned of Earth’s magnetic pole shift that would significantly affect the environment, causing a global financial crisis. NASA scientists have confirmed that the magnetic north pole is indeed moving faster than ever recorded. The pole is shifting from Canada toward Siberia at an accelerating rate of approximately 55 kilometers per year.

Cayce predicted polar ice would melt,  causing devastating flooding and drastic environmental change throughout the globe. He foresaw December 2025 as a pivotal month when humanity would experience increased psychic abilities and clairvoyance. According to his readings, people would begin developing heightened spiritual awareness and intuitive capabilities during this period. Cayce also predicted spiritual growth among people globally as consciousness expands to new levels.

In one of his more surprising predictions, he claimed China would emerge as a beacon of hope for the world. He suggested this would come through freedom and equality rather than communism or authoritarianism. Financial crises would occur linked to these environmental changes as economies struggle to adapt.

What Edgar Cayce Predicted for 2026

Cayce’s most dramatic prophecies center on the year 2026 as a critical turning point for humanity. He described 2026 not as just another year but as a doorway and dividing line. According to his readings, 2026 marks a point of no return when the world enters a new cycle. Cayce warned that this year would bring a wave of global events shaking every continent simultaneously.

Earthquakes, floods, fires, and storms would occur in rapid succession within a short time period. He predicted governments would fall and economies would crash as systems built on corruption fail. Cayce described these events as signs of spiritual cleansing and judgment allowed by divine forces. He saw a realignment of both the Earth’s physical structure and the human soul’s spiritual nature.

The prophecy includes a breakdown of materialism, greed, and selfishness that dominate modern society. Those who built their lives on false values would not survive the transformation intact. However, Cayce also offered hope for those living by faith, service, and love. He emphasized that 2026 would demand a complete re-evaluation of how humanity interacts with Earth. The magnetic pole shift he predicted would trigger earthquakes, tsunamis, and changes in continental shapes. Weather patterns would become confused and unpredictable as seasons lose their traditional rhythms.

The Hall of Records and Hidden Knowledge

Cayce made fascinating predictions about hidden ancient knowledge waiting to be discovered under Egypt’s Great Sphinx. He claimed that refugees from the lost civilization of Atlantis built a Hall of Records at Giza. This underground chamber allegedly contains the complete history of Atlantis and humanity spanning thousands of years. According to Cayce’s readings, the Hall of Records is located between the Sphinx and the Nile River.

The entrance lies hidden near the Sphinx’s right front forepaw, buried beneath centuries of sand and debris. Cayce described the chamber as containing 32 tablets with detailed Atlantean records and prophecies. These tablets would reveal advanced spiritual and technological knowledge from the ancient civilization that existed around 10,500 BCE.

He predicted the Hall of Records would be discovered during a period of dramatic world changes. Some researchers believe 2026 could be the year this discovery finally occurs, aligning with Cayce’s other prophecies. The Great Pyramid itself contains prophecies encoded in stone about humanity’s development and future cycles. Cayce stated that accurate imaginary lines could be drawn from the pyramid’s opening to the North Star.

Understanding Cayce’s Legacy Today

Edgar Cayce’s influence continues to grow decades after his death on January 3, 1945. He suffered a stroke in September 1944 and never fully recovered before passing away four months later. His wife Gertrude died of cancer less than 3 months after Edgar’s death. The Association for Research and Enlightenment survived and thrived under the leadership of his sons, Hugh Lynn and Edgar Evans Cayce.

By the end of the 20th century, ARE membership had reached approximately 30,000 people worldwide. Today, the organization maintains 14,306 documented readings carefully preserved in its archives. Cayce’s legacy significantly influenced the New Age movement that emerged in later decades. His teachings on reincarnation, holistic health, and spiritual development shaped modern metaphysical thought globally.

However, not all of Cayce’s predictions came to be true, which skeptics point out with frequency. He predicted California and New York would be destroyed before 1998, which did not come true. He also claimed Atlantis would fully rise in the Caribbean by 1968 or 1969, which remains unverified. Despite these failures, many people continue studying his work for spiritual guidance and holistic health insights.

The Edgar Cayce Foundation and ARE maintain their Virginia Beach headquarters as a spiritual education center. Visitors can access the complete library of readings, attend workshops, and receive holistic spa treatments. Cayce’s emphasis on meditation, dream interpretation, and intuitive development remains relevant to modern spiritual seekers.
